Thank you for a GREAT start to our School Year DES! Students, staff, parents and families are all part in making our school year successful. We have several great events and activities planned for the year and welcome everyone to take part. Our first PTO meeting will be on September 1st at 4:00pm. Davis Elementary School Open House will be on Monday, August 15th from 3:30-5:30 pm. Come out to see your classroom, visit the school, and meet the staff. Stop by to see all of our resources and get placed in a drawing for a door prize. :) We are excited for our upcoming 2022-2023 school year and can't wait to have our Dragons back with us!
Davis Elementary School collaborates with Melinda Francis from the West Virginia Department of Education, Office of Child Nutrition for a microgreens taste testing. Students had an opportunity to taste test radish and sunflower microgreens. Gassaway Mayor Richard Roach visited the school and participated in the microgreens taste testing. Also featured in the photos with Gassaway Mayor Mr. Roach is Davis Elementary Principal Mrs. Minney and featured in the photo with Melinda Francis is Davis Elementary Health and PE teacher, Michele Winemiller.

Dear Parents and Community Members: To slow the transmission of COVID, Frametown Elementary will be on remote learning for the remainder of the week. The health and safety of our students and staff are our first priority.
This message is a reminder that January 7, 2022 is a two hour early release for students to allow for staff professional learning. Families please be sure to have a parent or documented guardian at the bus stop for all students in third grade and under. Have a great evening!
"Keeping Gassaway Warm" Need it...Take it :) A Box of FREE Hats, Gloves and Supplies for wintertime is outside of Davis Elementary for any community members or families to use as needed. Attention Families and Community Members of Braxton County Schools
Good Morning, In partnership with the WVDE and Maverick Health, BCS is excited to be offering free Covid testing at Braxton County High School on 12/30/21 from 7:30am-1:30pm. The clinic will be a drive-thru clinic. Students and staff are priority for testing, but family members and community members are also able to test free. The test is a saliva sample PCR test with an estimated 24-hour turnaround time. Hopefully, the testing will allow an opportunity to identify cases prior to return on 1/3/22.
