Our Parent Teacher Conferences at Davis Elementary will be on Tuesday, March 21 from 3:30-5:30pm. Please call the school to schedule a time if you have not already done so. Also, our new Dragon's Lair is complete and ready to visit thanks to our Partners in Education, PTO, and volunteer efforts! We hope to see you tomorrow night Dragons!
Just a reminder that tomorrow, March 16th, is the Shamrockin' Dance. All Davis Elementary students, Pre-K through 5th, are welcome to attend. Please note that all students must have an adult stay with them throughout the entire dance. The cost of admission is $3.00 per person. Concessions will also be available at additional cost. Those in attendance will receive a dry erase board, marker, eraser, and a light snack. If you have not signed your child up already for the Summer Learning Experience, another form is being sent home today for students in grades K-5. Braxton County Schools plan to offer students in grades K-12 (2022-2023) a Summer Learning Experience. The Summer Learning Experience will consist of fun and challenging activities in the areas of reading, math, health and wellness, STEAM, and art. Davis Elementary will host a Town Hall meeting at the school on February 9, 2023. The meeting will begin at 4:00pm in the school gym. The issues to be addressed at the town hall meeting include but are not limited to: Parent Involvement and Community Involvement; the Learning Environment, Student Engagement, Attendance, Supports for At-Risk Students, Curricular Offerings, Resources and the Capacity for School Improvement. We hope to see you there as this is part of our Local School Improvement Council efforts for the 2022-2023 school year at Davis Elementary.
